SCA Colleges and Universities... the new and fresh start

I'd just like to share to you the meeting we just made with the different units of SCA in Manila. To tell you the truth, this is the first time they will meet again after a few years. The officers of each unit were not really oriented about the existence of SCA outside thier school. It was also a blessing to have two Columban priest who were very active in supporting SCA in the past and even up to now (they even had a book, exclusively for SCA). Also, let me also give thanks to ate Jef of the College of the Holy Spirit, an SCA alumna, who organized this event. Lets not also forget kuya Frence from SCA National office, affirmed SCA status as a nationwide and international organization.

The Solemnity of

Christ the King

SLRSCC Legarda, Manila

November 22, 2009

(8:00 AM to 12:00 PM)

Most of the young students are searching for their identity in life. Most of them are looking for a role model that can help them to define their characteristics and values as a person.

As a Catholic organization, we believe that one of the best options that we can introduce to them is no other than Jesus Himself, our ultimate model of Honesty and Integrity. Our Christ, the King!

In this year’s celebration of the solemnity of Christ the King, we join the whole Church in remembering and recognizing the significant role of Christ in our life through the Holy Eucharist (as being taken, blessed, broken and shared with). The SCA will reflect on the theme: Si Kristo ang Modelo ko: Siya ay Tapat at Totoo.

We will use this opportunity to see Jesus more clearly; to love Him more dearly; and to follow Him more nearly as we deepen our relationship with Him by recognizing His word as a source of our faith.

May this celebration leads us to become closer to Jesus our Good Shepherd and our Christ the King!

Here we go again!
The second meeting for SCA Colleges- Archdiocese of Manila at PSBA Manila

The journey continues as the leaders of the different SCA colleges again convened for another meeting as a follow up to the first one. Amidst the rain, they were able to get to PSBA Manila. For this meeting, the commitment for the ad hoc committee were chosen. Kuya Frence of SCA Philippines also gave a quick orientation of the structure of SCA nationwide. The columban priest like Father Martin gave thier views about the works of SCA in the past. And this as a new start in the history of SCA, all are hoping for re-establishing the SCA colleges and universities. Again wait for more updates!
